Happy 40th, Everyone! They are having fun raising chickens, learning how to play the violin and homeschooling. Although I had been teaching for nine years, I took time off to run a part time fine furniture business and to raise my son Conor and daughter Molly while they were young. As of last year, they go to school full time so I was able to go back to teaching.
I now teach sophomore and junior English at KUA. Still playing music which brings back such great memories, Dave! Dave is bummed to have lost touch with the old band members and said it would be great to hear from them Get in touch, guys! It is a great community right on Lake Michigan--we are about an hour and a half away from Chicago and I go every chance I get!

I am also trying to keep up with my running. Other than that, I am enjoying my two kids, who are 11 and 9, keeping busy with volunteering in the schools and working from home for a small consulting company outside of Boston. Courtesy of Publishing Works Author's Website When eleven year old Escapade Johnson gets detention for being one of the three students participating in their fifth grade class homework strike, he inadvertently gets stuck walking home with trouble makers Davy and Jimmy. Of course trouble ensues when they cross paths with two girls and begin teasing them.
Peterson to fire them to no avail but along the way Escapade learns some good lessons. This book was a real treat.

It reminded me of the books I would read as an elementary school student that would lead to my fascination and love of books. It has the right amount of humor and adventure while ending on a lesson taught. I highly recommend this book for all elementary and middle school readers. Labels: 5 stars , children , review. That looks like so much fun!
