I love unique Romances and this one is definitely one of a kind. The relationship is very unhealthy clingy needy and psycho stalker, but in a way that doesn't leave you with nightmares but with a sense of questioning one's own reality and moral compass It holds up a mirror to all the typical weaknesses women experience in relationships. The male is not the main character in this romance which most romances never get away from him.

This one Madeline is a deep and introspective a woman, she is the most complex character This author takes care with every word she chooses making each sentence pull you further into a trance you feel like you enter the realm of dreams reading this book I would give it an adult rating and not advise it for teenage females it is meant for an older more experienced audience because it is one of those books that can and will play with your mind, and desires.

Adults the brain won't suffer permanent change but teens are more liquid in their axion connections. For females this occurs in their 20's though the book is quite good for men too.

Male brains reach maturity but the book won't affect male brains the same as female due to the dendrites being more active and abundant keeping them away from delta state while reading and men don't experience from reading the two brain hemispheres connecting like females do. In closing, don't get this for your kids get it for yourself. One person found this helpful. If you're ever curious as to what an abusive relationship looks like, this book is for you.

A woman named Madeline lives a plain and boring life after both of her parents died. She, at first, dates a man named Charlie who can't seem to strike a passion she longs for within. Then a mysterious article in a magazine from her work catches her eye. A man is looking to complete his family tree.

After speaking with him through letters he offers her his home to write her novel and possibly discover whether or not they are truly related.

I say no. The beginning of the book was fantastic.

I cannot deny that this author has a way with words and quickly draws you into the story. Sadly about half way through this magic dies. If the story wasn't flat out boring- nothing of interest happens, no conflict or answers to some odd questions appear- is was flat out disturbing. Madeline would say or do something that upset Darius and for it he would make her pay. He smacked her, locked her in a coffin to suffocate to the brink of passing out. He killed the ones she cared for, taunted her with it, and slaughtered anyone they stumbled upon.

He controlled her mind- literally and figuratively. This is not a book I would have picked up if I had known about it beforehand.

I could barely connect with the characters before these awful situations sprung up, and I'm kind of happy for that now. The grammatical errors found throughout the book were distracting at first but kind of forgotten about after they "lovers" get together.

Amazon Second Chance Pass it on, trade it in, give it a second life. He believes that only she can make sense of his destiny, and give him the answers he needs. But his quest is hindered by powerful reflections and the unwavering love of Sarah, a ballerina. That dominant emotion keeps him bound, it forces him to hear the echo's and bear witness to the life he left behind. Carl must find a balance within this time, without destroying his one true love, and his destruction can easily come about, if not from the modern world, then from another vampire.

But loss is inevitable, and when fate takes Sarah from him, Carls reveals his shocking ulterior motive, why this memoir had to be written. A Memoir of Carl is set against the historic backdrop of Stirling, Scotland and its historic castle, the prestigious London opera house and a gothic stately home. All of which paints a remarkable picture that is rich in detail, and unexpectedly chilling.
